Well today, the test results came back and the information came in the mail. I was not expecting that. Needless to say, the information sent me in a tail spin because the doctor now says I have high cholesterol and pre-diabetes. I was in shock. It upset me so, I got a headache from the news. I was so glad I had taken my blood pressure medication before I got this news. It scared me half to death and put a damper on my day.
I am going to have to make some lifestyle changes, after all...I'm not a spring chicken anymore. So, starting tomorrow, I will be working on a brand new me. A healthier me, which will include exercising, eating more fruits and veggies and working on putting down the cigarette. After all, I have so much to live for and so much that I want to accomplish. I want to fly! So, guess what I did........
In preparation for the new me, I downloaded a few apps to my tablet that will encourage me to exercise. I even have a beginner's yoga app that I plan to try. This should be interesting and possibly funny trying to get in some of those positions. I'm going to learn how to relax too. I have my calming music for when I get stressed and uptight. Yeah, going to try to meditate too. As you can see, I have good intentions and a plan to follow through. The next time my doctor sees me, hopefully she will see an improvement with her patient. Going to nip this thing in the bud.....I hope.
