So much negativity is going on today, it just makes me sick. No wonder the inspiration to write these days has vanished. Too much bad news and it just puts a damper on things....along with the rain and the clouds. Right now I am thinking about the explosion that occurred in Texas this morning and the bombing that took place a couple of days ago. I am also thinking about the senseless murders and crimes, not to mention the kidnapping of our children. As Marvin Gaye would say...."What's going on?" So here I sit with a frown on my face, for these are the things that make me cringe and wonder why. When I think about it, it actually begins to zap all my energy and interferes with my focus. You know what.....I'm going to change the subject so I can get out of this slump.
Yesterday, this blog came to a screeching halt, but I am ready to pick it back up again and on a happier note too. I'm going to promote my books instead of talking about the crappy stuff that is going on. Promoting my books always makes me feel good and I love doing it. In these days and times, I think it is vital that children have books that are uplifting to get their minds off of what is going on. And believe me when I say, that my books for kids will take them on a magical carpet ride. They will love the characters and they will be able to identify with some of the situations that the characters face. They will be eager to turn the pages.
Right now, I am imagining my books being used for book reports, being seen in schools and libraries world wide. I am imagining that my books are favorites reads, like that of Goldy Locks and the Three Bears. I am also imagining that one day they will not only be favorites, but also timeless classics; books that can be read as paperbacks or on an electronic devices as we move into the future. Whatever direction the book market goes, I will be on that train because I got to go with the flow as an author. I have to give readers what they want. I have to cater to the kids for this is my destination. With that being said....take a look at these books, pick one or two for your child to read, or read to them. Either way, the moments of reading will be priceless and the content memorable........."I guarantee!"
