I am having so much fun with my new tablet, learning how to work the thing. It takes great pictures, although the photo here was not taken using the new tab. That photo came from the 8 in tab which I gave to my grandson. There is definitely a big difference. I went picture crazy on the ten in too. But guess what happened....I had my son transfer my photos from the tab to my computer using the USB cord, or something like that. Lo and behold.....he didn't know what he was doing or something, by the time he finished plugging in the cords to the computer and clicking this and that he somehow managed to delete all my photos. Well dag, I could have done that myself. LOL But, I'm not mad at him.....I just started taking more pictures. He was frustrated that he made that big mistake, so I couldn't jump on him. Heck, why should I? I didn't even know where to plug in the cords if I was doing it myself. Speaking of the tablet....I gave her a name...actually, she had several names since I had her, but this is the one that sticks....TABBY.
Today and tomorrow is babysitting day. I tell you, DC schools are out more than anything I know. When I was in school, which was a long time ago, I don't remember being out of school this much. Heck, they just came off of Spring break. This just doesn't sound right to me, what about you?
Well glory be, it looks like the sun is trying to come out...I hope it succeeds, it has been cloudy and dreary for too many days. It must be storming somewhere. Speaking of storms, we woke up on Sunday morning only to find out we had lost power during the night. My kitchen clock stopped at 4:15. We don't know what happened because it wasn't raining and the wind was not blowing; but our entire area was in the dark none the less. Here it is Monday and we still don't know what happened. It was scary because I had just did my grocery shopping and loaded up my freezer because it was on empty. Can you imagine loosing over 170 dollars worth of food because of a power outage? Thank goodness and thank the good Lord, it did not come down to that. Our power was restored around 9 am, mysteriously because we didn't even see any utility trucks in the neighborhood. I know, because my husband rode around the neighborhood trying to find out what was going on. He didn't see anything, but he had to get his morning cup of coffee from 7-11since the coffee maker was not working at the house.
Speaking of the hubby, he is suppose to build me some flower boxes. I had an idea in my head that came from a photo on Facebook. In this photo someone with a creative mind had taken some old tires, painted them different colors and added a little plant garden to each. I thought the idea was just beautiful. However, the hubby didn't like the idea of having tires in the yard.....what they heck.....it would have been my creative colorful garden. I still might do it anyway, after all...I already have one tire....I just need 6 more and a lot of paint and a lot of plants and dirt. Maybe I can make it work with just two. Anyway, I plan on painting those planter boxes different colors and stacking them like the tires would have been stacked. I want to place these in the back, below our bedroom window and on the side of the house. Did I tell you we have a big yard? It looks crappy right now, waiting for the grass to turn green and add my gardens of delight. I thought of planting a veggie garden too, but you know what....when I think of the critters eating my plants I think twice. Don't want to ask for trouble. OH yeah, we have possums, raccoons and squirrels. I'm scared of all except the squirrels. I tell you what, when it starts to get dark.....I don't even go out in my backyard. Go ahead and laugh if you want to, but I'm not going out there. I was sitting on the porch one evening last year, enjoying the serenity when I heard some noise coming from the side of the house, along the fence, that separates our house from the neighbor's house......Well, I ran in the house in a hurry....knees shaking and peered out the door. Come to find out, it was a stray cat trying to be sneaky. Even though I am a country girl at heart, critters make me cringe, which means I am not brave....far from it. Bet you didn't know that about me.
Well, let me go and think and plan for my garden. Let me know what you think of this photo.
