I just got confirmation today that my very first order is completed, so what will be arriving by the end of the week are my butterfly bushes and hollyhocks. Oh yes, I have a place waiting on them too. When they arrive, I am still waiting to receive the last of the partial order. Yep, I went plant crazy up in here as I try to give some flower design to our yard. So much to do, but the fruit of my labor will not show itself until next spring or summer. When all is in bloom, they will be calling this "the flower house" on the block.
My husband said I am getting carried away with the plants, saying that pretty soon we won't have a yard. Ha! I think not, I'm leaving a little space in the middle of the yard. LOL. That's less mowing for him.
So far I've planted two rose bushes, two azalea bushes, a lilac hedge and two boomerang lilac shrubs, plus some other stuff that are growing from scratch (seeds) I don't remember what they are, but right now, they look like weeds. We also have some ornamental grass that's going to be moved and planted somewhere else. Nothing looks close to blooming. I tell you, in order to be a good gardner, you have to show some patience. You can't rush the cycle of a plant and you can't wave a magic wand and think your going to make something grow fast. I am no genie in a bottle. Anyway, I can't wait for the shipment to arrive and get my babies in the ground so they can start doing their thing. WEll, that's it for the gardening news at the moment and my computer seems to be acting up, loosing connections. That's a sign that I should end this before I have to start all over.
