For one thing, I stayed up too late, didn't go to bed until 4 o'clock this morning. I wasn't up working either. I was watching a movie on TV with my hubby and it had my full attention, wouldn't let me go to sleep until it was over. As a matter of fact, he conked out before I did, that's how engross I was. I am so glad that it had a somewhat happy ending, especially after staying awake that long. Do you recognize the picture in this posting?
This heartfelt movie was based on the Mayans. The storyline was awesome, but I could have done without the blood, gore and senseless/heartless killings. The name of the movie that I am talking about is "Apocalypto," it came out in 2006. I tell you, it had me on the edge of my seat; sometimes I was covering my eyes and other times I sat there with my mouth gaped open in shock at how one human being could be so evil towards another. I don't know if the movie was based on history or if it was just pure fiction. However, there is nothing fiction about the evil that exist in the world now or back then. Dang, human sacrifice! Captives enslaved and then running for their lives. It was just one horrid event after another, but it kept you in suspense and it literally had me praying for the main actor that he would get back to his family.
If you get a chance to see this movie, you will know what I am talking about. Would I watch it again? The answer is yes, because I want to see it from the beginning. See it in its entirety because I missed the first part. Next time, maybe it will come on at 8 and not 12 midnight. When was the last time you stayed up that late watching a movie?
